Auction price vs retail price: why they differ
The auction average is a wholesale price for all sizes mixed together – small, medium and bold pods – sold in large lots to traders. It does not include cleaning, size grading, sorting, packing, GST or delivery.
8mm bold pods are the top size and usually sell near the top of the auction range, not at the average. After grading, hand-sorting, packing and delivery to your door, the retail price is higher than the auction average.
